Thank you for taking the time to learn about Transfur Line. Transfur Line isn't just a platform - it's a promise of hope. The hope that when disaster strikes, no call for help will go unanswered.

I was born wanting to save animals. When I was in 5th grade, I walked around my neighborhood door-to-door to collect money for World Wildlife Fund. As soon as I was old enough, I had my parents drive me to the local animal shelter to walk dogs and clean kennels. Upon becoming an adult, I was finally able to foster animals! And over the next 20 years, I've fostered, transported, donated, and volunteered behind the scenes for rescues.

I recall in early adulthood watching the news during Hurricane Katrina and feeling helpless. It was estimated that up to 44% of people that didn’t evacuate did so because they wouldn’t leave their pets behind. I am heartbroken that so many lost their lives because they wouldn’t leave their animals behind - knowing that I would do the same.

While the relationship between pets and their owners cannot be understated, policies are still lagging. In the years since Katrina, efforts have been made to help keep animals and their humans together, but there’s still more work to be done. We are committed to partnering with key organizations across the United States to help improve outcomes for both pets and their people.
